About the Artist

Hi! I’m a twenty-something freelance artist, illustrator and sometime graphic designer. I’m almost entirely self taught, (my major in college was in theater and writing, it wasn’t till after I graduated that I decided to go into the art field), but I’ve got experience in a myriad of mediums: pencil, pen, chalk pastel, acrylic, watercolor, mixed media, etc. Mostly, however, I’m a digital artist.
Almost all of my work is done in Corel Painter, on a Macintosh system. Why that matters, I don’t know, but it’s something I inevitably get asked. I love to help people, almost as much as I love to paint sexy men with pointy ears (which is, if you’re not counting, quite a lot) and I plan on making tutorials a big part of what this blog is about.
Outside of art I enjoy reading, movies, working out with my husband (sometimes :)), and playing with my two insane cats.

I FOUND YOUR WORK IN DEVIANT ART AND I WAS SO TAKEN WITH THE SHARPENED HEART THAT I HAD TO E-MAIL YOU. WOULD YOU CONSIDER DOING THE OTHER QUEENS IN THE CARD DECK? YOU HAVE THE SHARPENED HEART AS THE QUEEN OF HEARTS. THEN A VARIATION OF HER FOR THE QUEENS OF DIAMONDS SPADES AND CLUBS. LIKE A PURPLE QUEEN OF DIAMONDS A GREEN QUEEN OF SPADES AND A BLUE QUEEN OF CLUBS. ALL WITH THE SAME COLOR INTENSITY AS THE SHARPENED HEART. JUST A THOUGHT. I LOVE YOUR WORK AND SO DOES MY MOM.
